How much can I borrow in Belgium?
The National Bank of Belgium asks banks to limit loans above 90% of the property value (80% for a buy-to-let); in practice your deposit covers at least the buying costs (registration duties and notary). The payment usually stays under a third of net income.
Are buying costs financed?
Rarely: most banks ask your deposit to cover the registration duties and notary fees. The calculator adds them to the loan if you wish.
